It was agony!īriefly, my body writhed in the kind of pain I can only liken to being burned alive while getting repeatedly kicked in the shins. I took a deep breath, grabbed a hair, and pulled. I stood, victorious, against the seashell wallpaper in my bathroom, tweezers poised high. Yes, I did that until I graduated elementary school.įinally in junior high (in the fall of 2001), I was permitted to tweeze (but not yet to wear makeup). Actually, I found the removed hairs fascinating, in a geeky way. A ha! Tape! She never said I couldn't use such methods to remove unwanted hairs! So I grabbed some Scotch tape, pressed it to my "must fix" areas on my brows, and yanked away. I struggled to find a loophole in her Draconian laws. But because I was, you know, literally a child, my mom forbade me to tweeze. At age 11, I coveted Cameron Diaz's brows from The Mask, pining to make mine as lithe and lean as hers.
My brow fixation began as a little kid, but intensified as I grew older. Or maybe I'm just rationalizing what is surely a sign of insanity. You’ve been warned. If the eyes are the window to the soul, certainly brows must be the curtain. There are two other bars I would recommend because the people who work at this bar are so petty, unprofessional and lack quality and consistency in their work. But whatever, I have kept my word in not going back because this place is a joke. Like I couldn’t care less about her or her brows, it’s all about the customer. I have seen many people say «the blonde with the tattooed brows messed up blah blah blah» they didn’t take into consideration the main reason why I was upset. But when these people read my review all they said was how «fabulous» her brows were and they also said she has a large crowd of followers. Not only was I treated badly, She cut me up and jacked up my brows. The details to the way I was treated was she (blonde with penciled in eyebrows) told me to sit in a scolding manner, she kept smacking her teeth and throwing my hands off my face, giggling with her friend that was sitting in the next chair over when she would pull a slick stunt like that, and scolded me loud to type my name in the phone. There are way better places that will treat you better. I highly recommend staying as far away from this place as possible. I give two stars instead of one bracket of the proud good experience. A nice touch was that I didn’t have to post when I mentioned how unhappy I was but frankly this did not help me at all. now need to wait forever to look normal again. Read very strange and not a nice experience. and giving me get opinion but I didn’t ask for it. In addition to the torture the lady was constantly criticizing me and saying things about my brows which are not true. Started way after me ands finished much earlier. The sending lady meanwhile took care of another person. I had people waiting and it took forever. I felt like I was visiting a friend who need someone to practise on. Terrible pain and never ending threading. I ended up with the most horrible eyebrows of my life! So bag I’m afraid to leave the house without big sunglasses.
Seemed like she had an idea in her mind and Just did what she wanted. She did not Lauren to me, and Jay did whatever, don’t know why. But boy was I about to be disappointed! This time I was attended by another lady. I was really looking forward to the visit die to my Great experience previously.
She made the best brows I every had! Thank you! The second time though was a completely different story. She listened and understood intuitively what I wanted.
